For years, we've had at least five people a month stop by or reach out, asking which luthier school we recommend. Dozens of clients have inquired about workshops, and some have even offered to pay just to watch Barrett do a setup. On top of that, we've consistently struggled to find qualified graduates from luthier schools to hire for our shop.

That's why we created Southeast Guitar Repair Academy—a comprehensive online course focused on the repair side of lutherie. We cover everything from restrings, setups, bone work, and fret dresses to advanced repairs. Plus, we provide ongoing support for our students and graduates.

Even if you've attended a luthier school before, you’ve probably noticed that most programs don’t prepare you for real-world repairs.
